Drive-Through Racks Overview
Drive-through racks, also known as corridor racks or drive-in racks, are an efficient warehousing solution designed to optimize storage density and spatial footprint.
Basic Structure
Drive-through racks are composed of columns, diagonal braces, horizontal braces, back pulls, top pulls, top crossbeams, partition braces (usually omitted in drive-through racks to form a continuous storage space), double bull legs, hanging boards, single bull legs, foot guards, rails and other components. These components are connected together through a fully plug-in assembly structure to form a continuous, high-stability rack system.
Main Features
1. High-Density Storage
On the support rails, pallets are stored in the depth direction, one after another, which enables drive-through racks to achieve high-density storage and greatly improves the space utilization of the warehouse.
2. Forklift Access
Goods are accessed from the same side of the rack, and the forklift can easily drive into the middle of the rack to access goods. This design eliminates the lanes between traditional racks, maximizing the use of storage space.
Advantages and Benefits
1. Increase Storage Density
The storage density of through-type shelves is high, and the effective utilization rate of space can be increased to 90% at most, and the utilization rate of site area can reach more than 60%.
2. Reduce Investment Costs
Based on the conventional scheme of three-layer goods with the lifting height of ordinary forklifts and the number of layers of corridor shelves, the effective storage capacity of the warehouse can be increased by more than 100%. From global storage cost calculations, the increased storage capacity benefits can generally offset the investment cost within three years.
3. Strong Applicability
Through-type shelves are not only suitable for food, tobacco and other industries, but can also be used in chemical, clothing, e-commerce, and other fields, proving wide industrial applicability.
Application Scenarios
Drive-through racks are widely used in dairy, beverage, tobacco, pharmaceutical, food and other industries. These industries usually need to store large quantities of goods, and the requirements for picking goods are not high. The high-density storage characteristics of through-type shelves enable these industries to store more goods in limited warehouse space.
What is the difference between you and other suppliers?
We have more than 20 years of experience in producing shelf series products, using high-quality cold-rolled steel Q235 with quality assurance and a 3-year warranty. We accept customized material combinations, provide one-stop solutions with a professional 3D modeling team, and offer transparent order tracking along with optimized logistics schemes to reduce costs.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a dedicated storage equipment manufacturer.
What are your payment terms and delivery time?
We accept payments via T/T and Letter of Credit. Generally, our delivery time is within 15 days, though it also depends on the specific order quantity and shelf design.
How is the storage rack installed?
We provide a comprehensive installation information flow, and our engineers are available to assist with online support and guidance.
Do you offer samples of your products?
Yes, samples are available at any time. We charge standard sample costs which are evaluated upon request.
How is the price of warehouse shelves calculated?
Since warehouse shelves are customized products without standardized pricing, we design a storage solution according to your specifications first. Once the solution is confirmed, we will calculate the pricing based on space utilization, load capacity, and material requirements.
